Our electric guitar setup service is comprehensive and covers all the necessary adjustments to ensure your guitar plays perfectly. Here are some of the services we provide as part of an electric guitar setup:

The truss rod controls the curvature of the neck, which affects the action and playability of your guitar. A proper adjustment ensures that your guitar has the correct neck relief, preventing fret buzz and making it easier to play. Whether you prefer a low action for fast shredding or a higher action for more expressive bends, our technicians will fine-tune your guitar’s truss rod to meet your needs.

The action of your guitar refers to how high the strings sit above the fretboard. If the action is too high, your guitar may feel difficult to play. If it's too low, you may experience fret buzz. At MenardMusic, we adjust the string height to your preference and playing style, giving you the perfect balance of comfort and sound.

Good intonation ensures that your guitar sounds in tune no matter where you play on the neck. A poorly intonated guitar can sound sharp or flat, even when the strings are perfectly tuned. During our setup, we make sure your guitar is perfectly intonated, so you’ll always be in tune, whether you're playing open chords or higher up on the neck.
